Passionate About Improving Young People’s Life Chances
‘All About Me’ is a programme which coaches teenagers in state schools and sixth form colleges on communication and presentation skills. We connect employers with secondary schools and colleges and provide a framework for them to give their time voluntarily to coach students online or to share their career stories. Having direct connections to people from the world of work is highly inspirational for our young people.
Through the programme students learn to develop their self-presentation and communication skills, so vital for the modern world of work. Additionally, students increase their self-awareness leading to more informed career and next steps choices, raising aspirations and increasing take-up of further education.

About Me, Me and My Values, Why Me
There are three elements to the programme:
- About Me, aimed at ages 11-13, helps students discuss their strengths and skills and leads to a short self-introduction presentation by each student in a feedback workshop. This helps break down barriers to communicating with adults from the world of work.
- Me and My Values, aimed at ages 13-16, encourages students to self-reflect on what is important to them, what they are proud of and express that to adults leading to a short presentation by each student in a feedback workshop.
- Why Me, aimed at ages 16-18, explores job and career choices and coaches students to present their suitability for a job or education course or volunteering opportunity in a short presentation by each student in a feedback workshop.
