‘All About Me’ is a programme which coaches teenagers in state schools and sixth form colleges on communication and presentation skills. We connect employers with secondary schools and colleges and provide a framework for them to give their time voluntarily to coach students online or to share their career stories. Having direct connections to people from the world of work is highly inspirational for our young people.
Through the programme students learn to develop their self-presentation and communication skills, so vital for the modern world of work. Additionally, students increase their self-awareness leading to more informed career and next steps choices, raising aspirations and increasing take-up of further education.
“Year on year, employers report that communication is the skill that is most frequently lacking in new recruits to the workplace, school leavers and graduates.” ican.org.uk
There are three elements to the programme:
Find out how you can volunteer small amounts
of time to make a big difference
Find out more about our coaches and how you can support our programme to make it accessible to your teenage children.
Our coaches are here to help you improve your communication and self-presentation skills
which are vital for the modern world of work.
Find out if your school is within the regions our programme is offered, or if you would like to know more about how you support or fund our coaching efforts.
