‘All About Me’ has been successfully run in several schools in the South West of England. The programme coaches students on communication and presentation skills, leading to the students delivering short self-introductions to their peers and an employer. The programme really helps students develop their spoken skills which are so important for work but also key for education, eg it helps prepare them for the compulsory spoken language part of GCSE English. Students find the programme a very helpful self-reflective tool to uncover their skills and experiences. They usually enjoy it too!
Our coaches come from a range of backgrounds and industries, and they get involved out of a wish to help young people improve their communication skills and to open their eyes to a whole range of career options. They will be sensitive to the young people’s needs and abilities and will receive training in how best to encourage your young people and help them to express their ideas.
